Providing updates to your address data

All our local government customers benefit from instant access to the BS7666-compliant AddressBase Premium dataset for address-related data. This dataset is updated every 6 weeks and covers the whole of England, Wales and Scotland.

For many customers the 6-week update frequency is sufficient, however sometimes it may be necessary to have access to more up to date data. In such cases you can provide us with updates directly from your own LLPG.

Supported file formats

We support the standard DTF 7.3 file format used by all major gazetteers, and for customers in Scotland we also support the Scottish Data Transfer Format (SDTF).

We recommend that you initially supply us with a full copy of your data followed by change-only updates at a frequency of your choice.

Getting the data to us

You can send the data to us using secure file transfer. This method is ideal if you already have automated processes in place for updating other systems.

You can also send the data to us via e-mail.
