Auditing
The ESB platform provides full auditing of interactions at a number of levels, each with its own intended purpose.
Audit logs
Detailed audit logs are maintained for a period of at least 1 year. These logs record all interactions with the platform such as user login, record access and modification.
Logs are stored centrally on separate infrastructure to the application servers in order to ensure their integrity. They are made available on request to customers.
Logs are in CSV format and record the following types of event:
- Successful and failed authentication attempts
- Details of searches performed and records that have been accessed
- Details of any records that have been updated and what has been changed.
- Any changes to the configuration of the platform
Event Log
The ESB Event Log records high level events such as successful and failed user logins, as well as security-related events such as password changes and unusual activity.
The Event Log can be viewed directly by customers if required.
Field-level auditing
Field-level auditing can be enabled so that all changes to a record are written as notes, allowing the customer to view a full history of changes related to a given record.
